Bennington has a rich grounding in the arts, owing much to distinguished and innovative faculty members at Bennington College who have nurtured creative talent over its 70+ years as a progressive liberal arts institution. Outstanding programs in the visual arts, in music, dance, theatre and in creative writing are evidenced by the prestigious art, music, and writing workshops that take place on campus when college is not in session.

It’s not surprising, then, that Bennington is home to many artists in all creative disciplines, has two diverse and first-rate museums, numerous art and artisan galleries, a theatre group, a local orchestra, an artisan dance troupe, and a handful of stellar music ensembles.
